I am translating a document on oil wells and the standards for their operation.

The context is the following paragraph:

No potential ignition sources shall be installed inside the secondary containment area unless the containment area encloses a fired vessel or such sources are rated in accordance with industry codes and standards. Secondary containment such as duck ponds or lined earthen berms for temporary tanks shall also be used.

It would sound odd to translate it as "estanque de patos" as a containment method. Could some of you guys, provide me with a translation specific for this industry?

And I am also confused about "fired vessels".

La laguneta de enfriamiento es un dique o encofrado dentro del cual se encuentra el tanque. En caso de explosión, incendio o derrame, el producto se queda en este éste el cual también sirve como depósito de agua como material contra incendio y enfriamiento.
