English term or phrase: RET

Preclinical pharmacology

(DRUG) was first discovered as an inhibitor of several protein kinase C (PKC) isoforms. It is now established that (DRUG) and two major circulating metabolites are multi-targeted protein kinase inhibitors with activity against mutant forms of FLT3 and KIT, as well as several kinases involved in their signaling pathways or otherwise implicated in acute myeloid leukemia (AML), such as via stromal support, including AURK, IGF1R, JAK, LYN, PDPK1, PIM1, RET, SYK and VEGFR2. (DRUG) binds to the catalytic domain of these kinases and inhibits the mitogenic signaling of the respective growth factors in cells and results in growth arrest.

Alguna sugerencia?
Desde ya muchas gracias!

RET — REarranged during Transfección > REordenado durante la Transfección
Explanation:

"The RET (REarranged during Transfection) proto-oncogene, situated on chromosome sub-band 10q11.2, encodes a receptor tyrosine kinase expressed in tissues and tumors derived from neural crest. RET is a receptor tyrosine kinase involved in cell proliferation, neuronal navigation, cell migration, and cell differentiation."

Receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs), a family of cell-surface receptors, which transduce signals to polypeptide and protein hormones, cytokines and growth factors are key regulators of critical cellular processes, such as proliferation and differentiation, cell survival and metabolism, cell migration and cell cycle control [1-2,4]. In the human genome, 58 RTKs have been identified, which fall into 20 families [3]. [...]
