Again, a UK dental report following a car accident. For Spain.
"presented with UR4 fractured. This tooth would need a bonded jacket crown to restore it."
Thanks in advance for your help.

corona dental de porcelana pura
Explanation:

2. What situations are crowns most useful for?
A crown is especially good for a tooth that:

Has been heavily filled
Is cracked
Has lost a corner

A crown strengthens a tooth in much the same way as a band of metal placed around the centre of a barrel. They can also be useful for minor tooth positioning changes and for improving a patient’s bite.

Traditional crowns
a) Bonded jacket (porcelain fused to metal) crowns

Bonded jacket crowns have been in use for many years and still work well in many situations. However, they can give a slightly grey gum line because of the metal underneath the porcelain. Nowadays, this can be improved by using a ceramic crown which diffuses, reflects and refracts light in a similar way to natural tooth material.

(Note on allergies: we use the highest grade materials in all our treatments. We avoid any problems with allergies by ensuring that we never use cheap metal alloys containing nickel.

Asker: Thanks for your help, Wilsonn, in the end I did not think using the word 'jacket' would work well in Spain although I think it is quite widespread in other countries.

Asker: I am not sure about this; the references seems to point towards bonded jacket crowns being porcelain and metal, don't they?
