Una empresa se dispone a crear un digital backbone para controlar de forma digital todos sus procesos, recopilar datos sobre el rendimiento, los consumos, etc. Aparece el término varias veces, pero no consigo encontrar una traducción que suene bien. Entiendo que se trata de un "eje", una "base" digital, pero no me suena bien. Copio algunos ejemplos:

Pues a mi me parece que tus opciones "eje" o "base" están bien fundamentadas y usadas, cualquiera de ellas que escojas; expresan perfectamente en español el concepto que se quiere transmitir.
