Hola, de antemano agradezco su opinión. El contexto: certificación emitida y firmada por Chief, Notary and Authentication Section refiriéndose a una legalización notarial en un documento.
Encontré en el diccionario bilingüe Simon & Schuster que District of Columbia (comúnmente llamado D.C. y el cual se refiere a la capital de Estados Unidos de América) se traduce como "Distrito Federal" o D.F.
Mi consulta se refiere a cuál es la traducción acostumbrada o usual cuando se hacen traducciones del inglés al español, con esto me refiero a las traducciones juradas, certificadas o las que surten efectos legales en los países de habla hispana.
