A "check presenter" is the term used for what is usually a small folder used by a restaurant to present a check (and in which the customer leaves the cash or credit card to pay the bill). A "tip tray" is used for the same purpose.

"Portacuenta," as also suggested in response to the previous identical query, really seems the best choice here, for three reasons: 1. As a single word it is far more economical than "libreta para las cuentas"; 2. It can serve as a translation for *either* a check presenter or a tip tray in contexts where further specification is not needed; and 3. I think "cuenta" is far more associated with the check for a meal at a restaurant than "factura."

Tengo esta duda al momento de pagar en un restaurant: Supongamos: 1.- Termino la cena con mi acompañante 2.- Llamo al mozo y le pido que me traiga la cuenta 3.- Me trae la cuenta en una libreta cerrada (Y desdede aqui ya no tengo muy clara la cosa que hago?) a) Deposito la plata dentro de la libreta y llamo al... mostrar más Tengo esta duda al momento de pagar en un restaurant: Supongamos:

a) Deposito la plata dentro de la libreta y llamo al mesero? o debo esperar que el se acerque de nuevo? O debo dirigirme hasta la salida y pagar hay?
b) Si la cuenta es de $52 y pongo $60 en la libreta y el mesero la recoge como hago saber mi intencion de pagar o no pagar propina?
c) Si quiero pagar propina la debo dejar dentro de la libreta? y si es asi dejo la libreta sobre la mesa con la propina y me voy?
