loopholes

English to Spanish Other Electronics / Elect Eng
Apple’s MacBook Pro has become the most popular laptop among professional DJs, and for good reason. The machine is sleek, fast and durable, with a beautiful high-resolution screen that’s rarely a strain on your eyes.
The one drawback is that MacBooks are expensive, but if you’re on a budget, there are a few loopholes you can exploit to make your new laptop more affordable. The secret is to focus on the individual parts of the computer that are essential to DJing and music production.

Hello Mandrade77:

The term “loopholes” has different meanings depending of the discipline or environment.

In particular, in the case of computing systems (big computers, servers, PCs and mobile computers), “loophole/loopholes” is technical concept related with the security system of the security of the computers. The meaning in Spanish is: “apertura” or “agujero”.

Since the times of the first Apple computers, one of the reasons that this computer came famous was because the products of Apple have low levels of loopholes (or “apertura”).

The technology of Apple is safety and the hackers have serious difficulties to attack with “virus”.

I hope this explanation helps you in your work.

Thank you,

Domingo

Hello again, Mandrade77:

Here I have an explanation about "loophole" in a Spanish glossary about technology titled: “Glosario de Informatica”, written by Raul Horacio Saroka and Jose Luis Tesoro, published by Ediciones Contabilidad Moderna, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The “Glosario de Informatica” says about “loophole”
English term: “loophole”: abertura = En seguridad de sistemas, un error u omisión en las medidas de protección del soporte físico o del soporte lógico, que permite a un eventual intruso eludir los controles previstos.

If we want to express this definition of “loophole” in English, this is the summary: the security systems of the machines (big computers, servers, PC desk, mobile computers), any error or flaw of the protection routines of the hardware or software gives the possibility to that the hackers jumps over the controls and damage the machine (hardware, software, or both).

To remark, each electronic machine has its own security system. In some machines the security system are strong, in others, it is weak. From the beginning, Apple always had strong security systems in their machines.

Something more: the loopholes (aberturas) are related to the hardware and software. Sometimes the loophole is a hardware flaw. In other cases, it is a error or weak control routine of the software (programas, soporte lógico):
