Neviem sa dopátrať k tomu, čo v tomto kontexte znamená "shunt".

Myslím, že shunt sa tu chápe ako odbočka, napr. nádrž (zásobník, bomba,...akýkoľvek výraz používate v ostatnom texte) je pripojená k hlavnému potrubiu a uzatvorená jednosmerným ventilom - nádrž sa takto naplní dusíkom pod tlakom a v prípade potreby sa otvorí a dodá dusík do systému.
