I'd rather not offer this as a suggestion because I was really just guessing, I don't know what it could mean. But I disagree with the posted answer, and I think driver's licence division is also wrong. See the Indian govt websites regarding driving licences, the issuing authority is called the Regional Transport Authority/Office. Since there's a date after the acronym, it only seems logical that one of the Ds would mean date. All just speculation on my part, though. Good luck cracking this. This kind of problem can be so annoying, right?

kde podla navrhov druhe D = division plati pre USA nie pre Indiu.
D = duplicate ani to nie je 100 % vyskytlo sa to na int. len asi 2x
mate moznost spytat sa toho kto vas poziadal o preklas ???

Uncle, Anton, Vaše argumenty znejú rozumne, no je možné, že by bol takýto dátum určený na jednom VP po približne 10 rokoch a na druhom po približne 5 rokoch od ich vydania? Pritom sú vydané na tú istú kategóriu vozidiel, tým istým inšpektorátom. Skutočne neviem čo s tým.

Môj názor, DLD sa vzťahuje na príslušný dopravný inšpektorát (Driver's Licence Division) a ak je po skratke uvedený nejaký dátum, tak do tohto dátumu si vodič určitých dopravných prostriedkov, nie všetci, musí licenciu obnoviť, musí byť preskúšaný. Preto platnosť licencie je obmedzená týmto dátumom napriek tomu, že preukaz je vydaný na 20 rokov. Preklad by mohol byť : "DLD-platnosť(dátum obnovenia) xx xx xxx

but could it mean duplicate licence date? Maybe the person lost their original licence and had a duplicate issued at that particular date.
