"A divorced mother of two tries to go it alone in mid-1940s small Texas town. Shunned by the "respectable" townsfolk because of her marital breakup, Nita must endure the unwanted attentions of every low-life man in the community. Enter Teddy, a young sailor who becomes both friend and protector to Nita and her sons. Once he is called to active duty, however, Nita is supposedly left at the mercy of the menacing "raggedy man", Bailey, whose intentions aren't what they seem."

Ovo je igra reči i pri tome parafraza imena nekada popularnog lika iz dečjih knjiga i igračke - krpene lutke Raggedy Ann. V. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raggedy_Ann. I lutka je već zastarela (posle nje su došle Barbike i razne druge), pa jedino ovo vidim kao mogućnost da se donekle sačuva veza sa originalnim nazivom, jer Raggedy Ann nikada kod nas nije imala popularnost kao neke njene naslednice, pa bi svaki pokušaj daljeg poigravanja sa tim nazivom promašio poentu.
