English term or phrase: granulate
We noted that there is insufficient granularity of the PPE register (e.g. one petrol station building in the FA register has one code, while when the Company transferred the title to XXX, there were two items: building and metal shed).

Such a case is not in accordance with IAS 16.

The Company should granulate the FA register in order to break down assets into separately depreciable items, which is required by IAS 16.

razložiti podatke / sačiniti finiju podelu podataka
Explanation:
here granularity of s.t / to granulate the information presented means to give it a greater level of details.
For example, instead of just saying "10000 worth of computers", say "10 computers worth 500 each and 5 worth 1000 each".
In this case, to "granulate the [fixed assets] register" means to present the same information in more details, i.e. instead of giving just a global figure, divide all the items in groups according to differences in the way they are depreciated - separate assets depreciated over say 10 years from assets depreciated over 15 years and from assets depreciated over 20 years etc...

You could say that it's a way of comparing the information being presented with a picture on an old style film with grains of silver nitrate: a film with fine grain allows for a more detailed picture than a film with coarse grain.

In a general way "granularity" of information = usitnjenost podataka / stepen razloženosti podataka / finija podela podataka i sl.

"The Company should granulate the FA register in order to break down assets into separately depreciable items, which is required by IAS 16."

.... da razloži podatke iz registra osnovnih sredstava tako svako osnovno sredstvo bude posebna stavka koja se odvojeno amortizuje, kako zahteva pravilo IAS 16

You could always stay close to the original imagery and say:

zrnatost podataka / smanjiti zrnatost podataka

by analogy with "zrnatost slike/fotografije", but it would probably sound quite weird.
