Casing Installation - Phase 1 Wells
- Casing and well screens requirements in each of the Phase 1 wells are specified in the
BoQ, and as a minimum will comprise:
- 1 m uPVC sump at base of the well, with end cap.
- Slotted (0.5mm slot size) uPVC casing above sump.
- Plain uPVC casing from top of slotted casing to 1m above ground level
- Centralizers shall be used at intervals of approximately 3m along all uPVC casings.
Casing Installation - Phase 2 Production Wells
- Casing and well screens requirements in each of the Phase 2 wells are specified in the
BoQ, and as a minimum will comprise:
- 6”5/8 nominal diameter, 316L Stainless Steel Sump at base of the well,
о 316L Stainless Steel V-wire wrapped screens, 6”5/8 diameter with slot 0.5 mm
above sump. Based on aquifer conditions it is anticipated that 12 to 18m will be
required per well (tenderers should assume 18m). Screens are to be installed
without welding. JSL connection 1 O-ring + 1 rod should be considered for the
screens, however the tenderer has the option to propose an alternative which will
achieve the same completion,
- A pre factory custom manufactured connector to connect the 8” uPVC casing with
the 6”5/8 diameter stainless steel screens. Connections must comply to the
German DIN 4925 standard or equivalent. Quotes for connectors and screens
from Johnson Screens should be provided In addition the tenderer can provide an
equivalent alternative if they wish,
о Plain 8” nominal diameter, thick wall, uPVC casing from top of screens (screen
connector) to 1m above ground level, compatible with screen connector identified
above.
