Данное понятие (competitive moat) разработано на основе понятия economic moat, предложенного Уорреном Баффетом. Речь идет о конкурентных преимуществах, но, чтобы отделять competitive moat от просто competitive advantage напрашивается вариант вроде "конкурентный буфер" или что-то подобное...Какие могут быть еще варианты? (или буфер - самый оптимальный)

E.g.
