You can imagine why - automation, computers, tech advances, all that has helped work move a lot faster.
But, at the same time, even though corporate profits are up, economies are growing, unemployment is falling, we’ve halved ability to get our return on assets, it’s become more difficult to bring margins and growth for investments we are making.
EXPLAIN:
But there are companies that are doing this, and are driving high growth rates.
They are working fundamentally different to how we are traditionally organized.  e.g. Google, Amazon, Netflix, they are all realizing significant growth.
They’ve figured out how to do the work that computers are good at.
Our company is in the 2-5% space, and we have an opportunity to drive higher levels of growth.
ASK:
Why is this happening?
If we think about it, computers good at certain work.
What humans are good at, is uncertain work, we are good problem solvers.
However, we’re still organized around certain work but work is not that certain any more.
RW that can help with that.
We need to unlock organizing around uncertain work and let computers do routine tasks, we can put our talent and assets against the right thing.
