The experiment showed that, when faced with a serious danger, some passengers develop a survival ‘tunnel vision’. They take extreme action at the expense of others, fighting to get out. Others may freeze up and not move all – blocking crucial escape routes.

Explanation:
Cunoasterea comuna si cunoasterea stiintifica a realitatii sociale. Limitele generale, mecanisme si erori specifice cunoasterii comune:(efectul falsului consens, efectul incadrarii(frame), efectul ancorarii, simularea mentala(gandirea contrafactuala), viziunea de tunel.

Din punct de vedere tehnic, sugestia lui Cristi e corectă, dar este mai mult o explicaţie decât o traducere.
