Termenul apare in descrierea unui tip de dispozitiv cu tub utilizat in interventii de gastroenterologie:

The device consists of a multi-lumen flexible tube with multiple perforations and an adjacent sail connected at the distal end. The distal end is a closed rounded tip. The semi-rigid sail is deployed, expanding the stomach radially, thus positioning the bougie along the lesser curvature where it is desired.

Stiu ca aceasta nu este traducerea termenului, dar avind in vedere ca este vorba de un aparat medical care este introdus spre a culege exeplare de tesuturi in aceasta “sail’.
Colegi care nu sint de accord sint rugati sa-si expuna parerea in mod detailat.
