English term or phrase: subject pool
Seen in Psychology article (internet). Had to translate to "banco de sujeitos" in Portuguese because I couldn't find any other translation on the internet and relied on an academic paper that had this translation of these terms(also internet).

"Standardization
We have our hypothesis, and we know what our -subject pool- is, the next thing we have to do is standardize the experiment. Standardization refers to a specific set of instructions. The reason we want the experiment to be standardized is twofold."

It's US English into Brazilian Portuguese.

From https://allpsych.com/psychology101/experiment/

As a result, our database includes over 10,000 volunteers. The size of our subject pool and the dedication of our staff ensures a positive outcome for enrollment...

Explanation:
What is Subject Pool?

•A pool of students from lower division psychology courses who participate as Human Subjects in social science research conducted at LMU as part of their educational experience.

Certainly, with a larger participant pool, one would have better and more representative results.
