advérbio de modo


Explanation:
Um advérbio de modo é construído a partir de um adjectivo no feminino/singular acrescentado o sufixo -mente (-ly).

"Flat" também significa "invariável" e como os advérbios pertencem à categoria de palavras invariáveis, não sei se o poderia traduzir assim.
Contudo, pela descrição que faz na sua pergunta, diria "advérbio de modo".

agree  Paulinho Fonseca: Determinante no 'modo' como o verbo age. Sleep 'tight', 'drive safe'. Descreve modo, maneira, etc. Apresenta a mesma forma de adjetivo, mas deixa claro o fato de estar caracterizando a ação de um verbo. :)
