semelhança que possa causar confusão - confusamente semelhantes / que possam ser confundidos Explanation: Creio que confusamente semelhantes seja uma tradução literal do inglês, um calque, por assim dizer. Pelo visto, seu uso está se alastrando na internet. Encontrei 176 registros idênticos no Google Search. Não acho que seja uma expressão genuinamente portuguesa. Evidentemente, existem outras formas de expressar a mesma ideia. Por exemplo: "Alguns tipos de seguro confundem-se por terem nomes similares." (Different types of insurance have confusingly similar names.) "...considere que as marcas registradas que partilham os mesmos elementos iniciais são semelhantes de forma a criar confusão..."
