neutral  Nick Taylor: I admit my intitive answer was in response to mettle and not metal. But maybe he is talking about the ferraduras :-)

  -> Também respondi por intuição (manter em forma), por me parecer mais lógico com o teor da frase. Pode estar associado a "ferraduras", mas não consigo ligar isso ao que vem detrás no contexto.
