Cont.Lic.Date - the date reflects continuous license with no break between renewals

Z tego co rozumiem, jeśli prawo jazdy wygaśnie i go nie się nie odnowi, wtedy nie będzie "ciągłości posiadania prawa jazdy" i trzeba będzie wyrabiać nowe, nowy test na prawo jazdy z inną datą rozpoczęcia ciągłości.

Czyli ta data [Cont.Lic.Date] nie zawsze jest datą uzyskania uprawnień, a raczej datą od której liczy się ciągłość posiadania prawa jazdy.

My other friends from Ohio were able to do it with theirs, but by the time I figured this out, it had already been too long since my license had expired to simply renew it.

When I returned to the US I did not go and re-take the driver's test, because I had sold my car to study abroad and didn't see a need for one at the time since I had no car and no money for a car. I graduated, went to grad school where I also needed no car, and then graduated from there.

You can take the test over and get an Ohio license, but the license needs to be at least 6 months old to exchange for a German one. But you can use the US one for up to a year in Germany I think. So yeah, retake the test in Ohio, get your license
