نان زنده میز عشای زبانی Explanation: "altar" here refers to the table in the front of a church. The very basic meaning, of course, is a place where an animal/human sacrifice is performed. Christians believe that Jesus sacrificed himself for man. However, I think it would be more appropriate to translate "altar" here as "table" since it also refers to the table where Jesus had his "last supper" with his disciples. |
