Apples are in season in North America from late summer to early winter. Although generally available for purchase year round, apples in peak season taste better and are usually less expensive.

فصل بالا

Explanation:
I have heard this often in Iranian travel agencies...

In talking with Iranian travel agents they always used this term to mean "high/peak season"...obviously they were translating word for word from English...high season and peak season are pretty interchangeable. They contrast with "low/off season"

"peak season" in English can be used for travel seasons as well as other things, such as fruit, in this example.

I assumed that what I had heard used by Iranian travel agents, that is, فصل بالا, would also apply to "peak season for fruit"

neutral  Fateme Asnaashari: yes you are right, high season is used in travel agencies for seasons like summer and spring since in these seasons number of travelers reaches its peak. the general meaning is the same for fruits, but a more practical equivalence is what i mentioned

معمولا در فصل برداشت به علت فراوانی محصولات قیمت پائین تری دارند.
