In the “Walleye Commons” scenario, the loss of eco­

attractiveness of the region for winter sports, and the
spread of a variety of water-borne diseases decreased op­
portunities for recreation. This decline in tourism led
to a steep decline in property values and a gradual pro­
cess of out-migration. However, low property prices pre­
sented an opportunity for Native American and conserva­
tion groups, who were able to expand areas of reservation
and protected land, respectively.

Explanation:
walleye: a North American pikeperch with large, opaque silvery eyes. It is a commercially valuable food fish and a popular sporting fish.

In Farsi, we, certainly, don't have a scientific name for every type of fish, however the term "اردک ماهی" is often used to refer to any type of pikeperch or perches including walleyes.

"Common" as a noun: a piece of open land for public use, especially in a village or town.
