well...i think it depends. if it refers to sports such as 'football' or an 'object' used in a sport, then the definition given by Nasima is correct but if it refers to a 'ball' usually held by rich people during colonial era which would involved dance, music, foods and 'dress-up', then it would definitely refers to 'pesta' e.g. 'pesta tari menari'
