The importance of marketing places in the economy is growing when separate towns and regions start competing with each other for economic advantages, increase of employment, activation of trade and investment. In spite of the fact that marketing places are widely spread in the practice of developed countries, its conception is rather narrowly reflected in theory, and this hampers the use of this economic instrument. Marketing places are possible to define as a purposeful activity which includes formation and promotion of a territory’s advantages aimed at its socio-economic development.
