Čia reiktų daugiau konteksto, bet esmė - kol ta komanda ar kažkas pvz., dar nebankrutavo, pati jo neišmetė, arba, galbūt, kol dar nevėlu jam pačiam, nes būtų suprastėję jo rezultatai ar pan. "The hammer falls" means "this is at an end". The "hammer" falling is that of an auctioneer at the end of an auction or a judge at the end of a trial.
