21 cemetery street Kapu iela 21 Explanation: Cemetery - kapi 21 - number of the house But I am not sure whether there exists a street whith such name any more. And Libau today is called Liepāja. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 12 min (2009-03-01 15:53:11 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Probably you could find more information by contacting Liepāja City Administration: http://www.liepaja.lv/page.php?id=1819 Reference: http://www.liepaja.lv/page.php?id=927 |

Reference: I cannot find Kapu iela in Liepāja Reference information: But, of course, things can change in more than a century- it may be renamed or built over... However there is Kapu iela in Aizpute town, Liepāja region. Aizpute is a small town some 50 km from Liepāja (old name- Hasenpotten). Another suggestion- the street back in 1900 may have had a name in German (Say, Friedhof Str. or Kirchhof Str., certainly no streets there were named in English back then and also very few had names in Latvian). |
