English term or phrase: light
Hello! I have one question in phonetic. Now I know that the Latin for "light" is 'lux'. Tell me, please, how it sounds? 'L' is soft there or hard? It is like(looks) or like (ljuks) or....? Thank you in advance!

In latin and Romance languages we don't have this differentiation. In latin you have single l (as in lectio (Latin, or "list" in English) and double l (as in bellum (Latin, or, more or less, "brilliant", in English), pronounced maintaining more time the tongue against the palate.
