Science - Psychology
English term or phrase: disconnection
I thought it was 乖離 but according to Wikipedia etc., "dissociation" is "乖離"
I was wondering if there is any specific and psychology term for "disconnection."

This is not my field so I wanted to ask experts opinion.
The source and the context is about childhood trauma.

Original:
These abuses are so profoundly disturbing that the child experiences psychological state of shock that include a sense of disconnection from the traumatic events.

I so appreciate your help!

解離

Explanation:
I'm no expert in this field, but if you look up "dissociation" in the Oxford Dict, it's, among others, a technical term in psychiatry for a mental form of "disconnection" or "separation", and Eijiro (英辞郎) provides the following explanation for this psychiatrical/psychological term: 《心理学》解離◆ある心的活動が、他と切り離されて自律的に機能すること。This would make the most sense to me.
