Ogden’s (1994) method founded on his construction of the primitive edge (described later) is similar, but it is bases on a conceptualization of nonverbal action as interpretations. 皆さんおっしゃるようにカウンセリング用語として発話順番の交代を turn-taking という例もあるようですが、カウンセリング技術への Jazz の概念の応用ということと、上記の内容をお読みして「volume, tone, tempo, rhythm, and turn-taking」と音楽に関わる言葉が並んでいますので、私はあまり深く考えずに結局 Jazz のことではないかと思いましたが、ずれるでしょうか。ジャムセッションとか、生粋のジャズはなじみありませんが、ジャズの即興などでは各楽器の演奏者がソロのアドリブを受け継ぐような場合がよくありますよね。多分、turn-taking はそういう楽器の受け継ぎ（かけあい、交代）などを言っているのではないかと思ったのですが。
違っていたらごめんなさい。

"Turn-taking" for hichiriki and Computer (2000)
音声対話で，次にどちらが話すか，という発話権を保有することを会話の番という．人間が話すことと聞くことが同時にできない以上，互いに会話の番を制御しながら対話を進めていくことは，日常生活においては当たり前で議論にすらならない．しかし，音声対話の研究の意味ではこの問題が工学的にテーマとなってきたのは作曲者が問題提起していらい，ほんのここ１０年程度である．この現象を拡張して， 音楽のアンサンブルでも，「番」の制御という問題を取り上げで作品に反映させた．とくに，会話のピッチパターン，音量などの韻律をこの作品に投影させた．これは，対話の音楽的側面を強調して作品に仕立てたことになる．

In the context of "jazz", would 'turn-taking' be related to 'call and response'? (コール アンド レスポンス、かけ合いの演奏).
I'm not sure which terminology would be more suited to psychoanalysis, though...

agree  Kazumichi Sato (X): 僕も楽器の場合だと思います。googleで"楽器の掛け合い"で150カウントでるので、これが一番よいのではないかと思います。"掛け合い"でぐぐると15万カウントほどでて漫才の掛け合いの意味が多いので念のためYahoo辞書をチェックすると、歌舞伎舞踊の楽器の掛け合いの場合が記
