English term or phrase: Tauxem
Actually I'm not sure if this is English. It's a place name in Korean Peninsula.

The text goes like this:
Only two towns are shown in Korea: In the northwest, *"Tauxem"* appears approximately where Pyongyang is today

Japanese translation:Taedong river perhaps?
Explanation:
I'm totally guessing, but Pyongyang is located on the Taedong river. Could this be an alternative reading for the Taedong? A Google search revealed nothing. Good luck.

I just asked a Korean and Chinese collegue, and there is no word like ¥"Tauxem¥" in Korean, nor is there a commonly-known place by the name of Tauxem according to the Chinese person. Maybe just leave it as is. カタカナにすれば、『タウシェム』ですって。

朝鮮半島

Explanation:
This same question was later posed on the Korean-Japanese pages and "Rikichan" gave the following response:

Tauxem
朝鮮半島(ちょうせんはんとう)

This would seem to refer not to a single town but to the whole peninsula. Can anyone more knowledgeable clarify?
