急変した Explanation: この場合、「急変」という言葉が適切ではないでしょうか。 急変という言葉はどちらかと言うと悪い意味に使われる場合が多いので(容体が急変した、態度を急変させた、等)上記の原文には明るい見通しからいきなり不安定な状態に急激に変わった、ということで使えるのではないでしょうか。 ご参考にどうぞ。 |

Reference: turn on a dime Reference information: The idiom you are looking for is "turn on a dime". They inserted "proverbial" to indicate that they are using this proverb (it is not really a proverb, though). It means a rapid change, a rapid turn of events. I am not sure whether there is an equivalent Japanese idiom, but basically you need to find something that expresses sudden, rapid (瞬間的?) change. http://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/turn on a dime http://forum.wordreference.com/showthread.php?t=1384379 |
