ただし、~するものとする Explanation: 本契約に基づく知的財産権のすべては、当社に帰属します。ただし、各当事者が第三者に対して、ライセンス料またはその他の手数料を支払うことなく、関連知的財産を使用する権利を与えることに同意するものとする。 provided, however, thatは、「ただし、~するものとする」と訳されます。that節以下が但書や条件を表しており、権利または義務に関する内容が続きます。subject toと意味が似ています。最近では、howeverを省略してprovided thatと書くことも多いですが、例外である条件を強調したい場合はhoweverを入れたほうがいいと思います。 ご質問に対しては、ここでprovided thatを使うのはいい判断だと思います。初めに書かれた文章で大丈夫ではないでしょうか。 |
