Ciao!
Sto cercando di tradurre la citazione all'interno della frase che segue (lo scritto è un libro per la crescita personale):
Competition for external rewards, perks and bonuses results in workers who feel like rats running
for food pellets — but “the problem with the rat race,” quipped actress Lily Tomlin, “is that even if you win you’re still a rat.”
L'espressione "rat race" mi risulta un po' difficile da "rendere" in italiano, anche se ho compreso il senso!
Ho scritto questo: “il problema con la corsa sfrenata al successo, come quella di un criceto sulla sua ruota”, disse in una battuta l’attrice Lily Tomlin, “è che anche se vinci, sei comunque solo un criceto.”... ma non sono convinta!
Qualcuno magari ha un'idea migliore?

Explanation:
secondo me non lo si può che lasciare letterale, altrimenti perdi il successivo riferimento che in fondo non si resta altro che topi.
Mi ha fatto subito venire in mente Skinner e il suo esperimenti coi ratti, che venivano premiati col cibo per averlo percorso il labirinto.

la corsa dei topi


Explanation:
Concordo con Daniela che va tradotto letteralmente.
Sarà che sono inglese, ma il termine 'corsa dei topi' ricorre spesso nei discorsi con gli yuppies disillusi... diciamo corsa però, non gara
oltre 65000 ghits per "corsa dei topi"
