Explanation:
Vado controcorrente e dico che i "compagni di bevute" non sono "dietro l'angolo", né tanto meno al bar dell'angolo. l'espressione è ON the corner, non AROUND.

L'immagine che mi viene in mente è quella di questi unskilled workers, i quali non hanno una "rete" di propri pari solidali a fornire una qualche ancora emozionale, ma c'è invece una specie di ritorno al vecchio capitalismo della peggior specie, con questi lavoratori relegati ai margini della vita aziendale, a bere tra di loro come unico momento di aggregazione. Interessante sia la scelta di corner, con il suo carico di significati diversi a cui fare allusione, sia la contrapposizione tra le due situazioni: nel primo caso, c'è un network che sostiene l'individuo (emotional anchor), nel secondo i lavoratori sono un gruppo informe (gang, group) .
