A key element of the emergent rights agenda is enabling a rethinking of the way relationships are created. This includes the ways in which organizations that govern, or that provide services, form a relationship with children. This book will focus especially on this as a principal issue within the ways in which rights are affecting children's lives. This can involve a child rights-informed approach to how policies are created, and a rights-informed approach within the policies made that relate to how workers conduct interactions with children. The former might involve children in the creation of a setting's policies, while the latter might concern the way adults engage with children in areas such as choice or involvement in decision making within everyday contact.
