Gentile Cristina s'informi anziché continuare a polemizzare,si informi: "spumare" nel senso di "produrre spuma" esiste in italiano http://www.ilsinonimo.com/S/spumare/ E appunto si ottengono due risultati diversi a seconda che si monti o spumi...

agree  m. chiara spatarella: a me sembra proprio rendere il senso: una cosa è montare (perché allora ci sarebbe bisogno del sifone?) un'altra è spumare. La consistenza è molto diversa...
