Il contesto, purtroppo, non è molto utile per capire di cosa si tratta:
"Click and drag the red slider button up the scale to review the definitions."
Se non ho capito male, è quel pulsantino che si trascina su e giù con il mouse, ad esempio, per alzare e abbassare il volume del computer. Non riesco a trovare come si dice in italiano.

Explanation:
In Windows lo "slider" si chiama dispositivo di scorrimento. È quel controllo che si trova in alcune finestre di dialogo e consente di aumentare e ridurre i valori relativi, ad esempio, a volume, colore, luminosità, ecc.
Quella parte del dispositivo di scorrimento che viene spostata in alto e in basso oppure a destra e a sinistra non la chiamerei pulsante, perché non viene premuta come i pulsanti. In realtà in Windows si chiama "dispositivo di scorrimento" e basta. Si dice infatti "utilizzare il dispositivo di scorrimento" oppure anche "spostare" o "trascinare" il dispositivo di scorrimento.
