Si sta parlando della perilla, pianta alimentare molto trascurata:

I have no idea why perilla (aka shiso) remains comparatively unknown as it is fabulously flavoured – imagine the ***earthy but bright*** child of mint and cumin parents. It looks wonderful too, with soft crinkled leaves, in deep purple and vivid green varieties.

In realtà c'è i due aggettivi li ho trovati entrambi riferiti a colori.... ma qui si parla di gusto, e poi mi piacerebbe tenere l'immagine del "child" e dei "parents".... ma forse chiedo troppo.....!
