Una curiosità etimologica: il termine sardo di origine preromana "thinnìga" (comprese le varianti "tzinnìga", "tinnía" e simili), che indica lo sparto, cioè una pianta con la quale si intrecciano appunto corde e tessuti, è stato accostato dagli studiosi al sinonimo berbero "tsennit", che probabilmente è all'origine di questo termine.
