Szép kifejezés, egyelőre a magyar oldalakon nem foglalkoznak vele, de azért hátha sikerül megfejteni.

The Tore Supra tokamak of the Association Euratom-CEA features intense microwave energy injection to stimulate high power, long duration plasma operation.
To achieve this required the development of a new Lower Hybrid Passive Active Multi-junction (PAM) microwave launcher that could also test ITER-relevant features for neutron shielding and efficient cooling.

A lower hibrid speciális mikrohullámot jelent, 1GHz körüli frekvencián - fordítását nem találtam, mindenütt mikrohullámú (lower hibrid) antennaként használják. A passzív-aktív a hullámvezetőkre utal, az aktív hullámvezetők közé beiktatnak egy passzív vezetőt.
The proposal was to locate cooling ducts in between the LH fed waveguides in the final part of the launcher, except at the front end, where the usual periodicity of a multijunction (MJ) is restored by interposing passive waveguides between the active ones.
