"Az egyszeres működtetésű hengerek egyik speciális képviselője a membránhenger. A nagy keresztmetszetek miatt a pneumatikában szokásos nyomások mellett is felléphetnek nagyon nagy erők. Nagy súlyok emelésére használják őket, mivel a membrán lengéscsillapítóként is szolgál."
