A patina (gyakran magyarul is) külszin, nem valóság. Ráadásul a patina múltbeli nagyságra utal. Ezt talán a "a üzem hatékonyságának patinája" fejezheti ki. NB, ez az értelmezés fontos a mondat második felének megértéséhez: azért koncentráltak látszólag sürgösebb dologra, mert az üzem hatékonynak tünt fel (noha nem volt az).

ugy hiszem, hogy itt arra celoznak, hogy mar elerte az üzem azt a hatékonyságot ami után már nem volt szükség a figyelmet más tevénységektúl elvonni.

végül is a szövegből biztos kiderül, hogy ez látszati hatékonyság volt-e vagy sem. Természtesen ha látszati, akkor 100%-ig egyetértek denny-vel.
