Az "okozta" helyett valaki majd biztos javasolni fogja a külföldies "indukált" szót, de attól még nem lesz érthetőbb, legfeljebb komolyabban hangzik majd a "potenciál-indukált". A "földhöz viszonyított" rész onnan ered, hogy - ha hinni lehet az alábbi angol definíciónak, miszerint "Potential Induced Degradation: Power degradation due the exposure to an external potential" és "External potential = Potential relative to ground" http://www1.eere.energy.gov/solar/pdfs/pvmrw2011_26_csi_rich... akkor ez a dolog "földhöz viszonyított potenciál okozta fokozatos teljesítményromlás".
