Tünetek: a betegség a növény fejlődésének utolsó szakaszaiban jelenik meg, amikor ez az időszak, csapadékos és hőmérséklete 200C felett van. A kifejlődött leveleken és a kalászokon fekete penész jelenik meg, egyes esetekben a betegség átterjed a magokra is, melyek megfeketednek.
