मुझे यह अनुवाद कुछ अटपटा सा (और गलत भी) जान पड़ता है। अरक्षित और prolonged की क्या व कैसे संधि (?) हो यह रात डेढ़ बजे कुछ सूझता नहीं। यदि exposure के स्थान पर use का अनुवाद उपयोग करूँ तो क्या यह उचित होगा?

Explanation:
exposure to शब्द चिकित्सा, MSDS (material safety data sheet) आदि में अक्सर आता है। इसका अर्थ है - से प्रभावित होना - यानी किसी रसायन, स्थिति, आदि का असर पड़ना।

यह शब्द संज्ञापद, क्रिया पद, विशेषण आदि सभी रूपों में आता है, जैसे exposed, expose, exposure.

बृहद विज्ञान शब्दावली में इसके लिए प्रभावन दिया गया है, जो ठीक जान पड़ता है।
