Shramdakshtaashaastra
Explanation:
Ergonomics is the study of workplace equipment design or how to arrange and design devices, machines, or workspace so that people and things interact safely and most efficiently. Also called human factors analysis or human factors engineering.

Since Ergonomics is a technical term which is perhaps very rarely used, we have not probably got a popular equivalent for the same.

Hope this helps.

I am giving break-up of the term for your convenience:

Shram = Labour/Workmen/Employees

Dakshtaa = Efficiency/Expertise

Shaastra = Study (here)

Hope these details might help somewhat to simplify this complicated and typical term.

agree  Dipak (X): Langclinic has made the concept very clear but it is correct to say that there is no popular word for it. Some term needs to be created. Shramdakshataa Shastra seems to be the better option.

agree  Arun Singh: Better Choice, 'Erg' is the unit to measure work, therefore any designing to minimise wastage of time and work done, means increasing efficiency or dakshtsa
