English term or phrase: warm-up
You may have to wait a couple of moments before the printer works as sometimes it needs to warm-up or there may be a queue of other print-outs that are waiting to be done first.

Please suggest a befitting alternative for the above term in the given text.

Thanks in anticipation.

Explanation:
Actually, the printer does a literal "warming" up, before it prints the first character ! :-))

I would suggest - Printer ko kuuchh pul gurmaas Aaney kaey liye lugtaey hain.

प्रिंटर को कुछ क्षण गर्मास आने के लिए लगते हैं.

Or, alternatively, one could be more brash and say -

प्रिंटर को कुछ क्षण गर्म होने के लिए लगते हैं. :-)

Just as an aside, the second part of the sentence is not really related to the delay in printing (the one about a queue of print jobs). May be you should split the sentence into two there.

Hth.
