मैंने विषय सेसंबंधित एक लिंक भी दिया था। हमें शाब्दिक अर्थ न देख कर संदर्भ को भी ध्यान में रखना होता है। यहाँ मिलते जुलते अर्थ वाले कई शब्द दिए गए थे। विषय से संबंधित वेबसाइट के शबंद संग्रह में अंत बिंदु दिया गया था। दूसरे मैंने उसे स्पष्ट किया था कि यहाँ अंत बिंदु किस परिप्रेक्ष्य में पूछा गया है। तकनीकी शब्दावली आयोग ने कई अत्यंत क्लिष्ट षब्द सुझाए हैं जो व्यावहारिक नहीं हैं, उनके सरल रूप पहले से प्रचलन में हैं।

विनोद जी, अमुक उत्तर "ही सही" है आपका यह निर्णय किस आधार पर? कभी हम एकरूपता की बात करते हैं। कभी कहते हैं कि शब्दकोश में लिखा शब्द नहीं, दूसरा सही है। जहां मैंने पढ़ा वहां का मास्टर एंड बिंदु बोला करता था तो क्या मुझे बिना शब्दकोश देखे इसे एंड बिंदु लिख देना चाहिए।
जहां तक अर्थ की बात है तो अंत्य बिंदु, अंत बिंदु. समापन बिंदु आदि-आदि लगभग एक ही जैसा अर्थ रखते हैं। लेकिन बात एकरूपता व मानक की है।

बाला जी द्वारा दिया गया शब्द-युग्म अंत बिंदु ही सही है। रसायन विज्ञान में टाइट्रेशन में इसका प्रयोग होता है। यह वह बिंदु है जिसके बाद टाइट्रैंट की एक बूंद भी और नहीं डाली जा सकती। इस अंत बिंदु के बाद यदि टाइट्रैंट मिलाया जाएगा तो परिणाम परिवर्तित हो जाएगा।

The whole text is chemicals and toxicity related. This particular sentence I would say is chemistry related.
